Day-Of Coordination: What It Is and Why It’s Worth It.

ree

Congratulations! You’ve planned your wedding down to the very last detail. You've got the flowers ordered, the venue is ready, the vendors are booked and your family and friends are arriving into town.

But who’s going to make sure it all actually happens and runs smoothly on the day?

You can't, your the one getting married. Your Bridal Party can't, trust me you need them with you.

There is the Venue coordinator, but in most cases they only handle things that are linked to your venue. They won't run to your bridal suite and grab your vow book, they wont style any DIY items, they won't help carry your items while you take photos, wrangle your family for pictures, or just be there at your every call for the whole day. They need to be making sure first of all, that the venue and their team is ready for the day.

That’s where a Day-Of Coordinator comes in — and trust us, it’s every couple’s secret weapon for a smooth, stress-free wedding day.

What is Day-Of Coordination?

Despite the name, day-of coordination actually starts weeks before your wedding. A day-of coordinator is a professional who steps in to take over all the logistics you’ve already planned, so you (and your loved ones!) can fully relax and enjoy the day.

Here’s what’s typically included:

  • A detailed timeline created and shared with all vendors

  • Final vendor confirmations in the week before the wedding

  • Running your rehearsal

  • Coordinating setup and styling on the day

  • Managing vendor arrivals and questions

  • Cueing the ceremony and reception (e.g., when to walk down the aisle, first dance timing)

  • Solving any last-minute hiccups without bothering you

  • Putting out any fires, before you can even smell any smoke

Think of your day-of coordinator as your behind-the-scenes stage manager — making everything look effortless so you can soak it all in.

Why It’s Worth It

You might be thinking: “My venue has a coordinator — isn’t that the same?”

Not quite. As mentioned above the venue coordinator works for the venue — they’re focused on things like tables, catering, and closing time. A day-of coordinator works for you — managing all the moving parts of your unique wedding vision.

Here’s what couples say they love most about hiring a day-of coordinator:

1. Peace of Mind

You don’t have to worry about where the flowers are, if the DJ’s running late, or whether the cake is in the right spot. We’ve got it handled.

2. No Family Stress

Mum shouldn’t be running around pinning buttonholes. Your best friend shouldn’t be cueing the music. Let them enjoy the day with you — not work it.

3. Perfect Execution

You’ve spent months planning. We make sure it all happens exactly how you envisioned.

Who is Day-Of Coordination Best For?

This service is perfect if:

  • You’ve planned most of the wedding yourself

  • You don’t want to hand over the reins until the final weeks

  • You want everything to go smoothly without becoming the point person on the day

After all the energy you’ve put into your wedding, you deserve to walk in feeling confident, calm, and fully present. Day-of coordination makes that possible.

I offer limited day-of coordination spots each month to ensure every wedding gets the full care and attention it deserves. My spots are limited as I only coordinate one wedding per day, so all the focus and attention is on you!

I am based in Canberra ACT, however we offer Day-Of-Coordination in NSW and can travel anywhere 😊Yay, lucky you babes!

If you'd like to chat about your day, I'd love to hear from you!

Our initial meetings are free and no obligation, but it gives you the chance to get some great insight for your wedding day.
